Down at the docklands today to check out the winch king competition. Basically they have a very high speed winch which pulls a tow rope.. It pulls along a large pool up and over a jump ramp and rail, and then they drop into another pool of water on the other side…

Yesterday was Australia Day so I thought heading to the Southern Star Observation Wheel for the fireworks there would be a good change (from the city fireworks).
Big mistake, the fireworks were very small and it was impossible (at least from where I was set up) to get a good looking shot of the wheel and the fireworks in one. The fireworks where going off very low, barely half the height of the wheel itself..

Yesterday James and I went for a quick walk around the city (Melbourne)… I have a couple of shots I am adding to the Urban gallery and also a new gallery I will start called “Transport”..
