ABOUT JAMES

Originally born in Taiwan and ethnically Chinese, Dr James Wei graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2005, after having completed [the majority of his primary and] secondary studies in Melbourne, Australia. He undertook his training programme in several major Victorian health networks, including Austin, Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Health.


Dr Wei has called Bendigo home for more than three years, and is currently employed by Bendigo Health and St John of God Bendigo, involving a range of clinical commitments. He approaches his fifth year as a Consultant Geriatrician, and consults on a variety of common geriatric issues and syndromes listed above.


Personal interests include photography, food and travelling.

FEES

MEDICARE BILLING: 

There is a $90 out-of-pocket charge for an initial consultation. Subsequent reviews incur a $50 out-of-pocket charge.

This may be less if you are registered for the Medicare Safety Net, which re-imburses up to an additional 80% of out-of-pocket fees. 




DVA CARDHOLDERS: 

DVA Cardholders incur no out-of-pocket expenses. 




BULK-BILLING: 

Bulk-billing can be arranged upon GP request.
